Before the last beta release we are working on the "fetch more" features.
Our goal, the timeline will never lose your position whatever your actions.
The most difficult part is to deal between cache and server data. The app will only communicate with your instance to fetch new posts.

@apps I think the "fetch more" button needs a flexible way to tell the app to show more toots below or above the button to avoid jumping.

This would indeed be a very much appreciated goal.
Currently I am losing my position in the timeline even if I switch to another timeline, do things there and return to the first timeline.

Thanks for all the great work you're putting into this and for the very transparent development process!
