Did you know that I often check apk that I build with the standalone software.
It allows me to be sure when introducing a new library or during their updates that I don't introduce trackers.

Yes, the purpose of the standalone is to be able to scan all apk. You can download apk from websites and check them locally with a command line tool.
The app working with the classic exodus, currently filters apk listed on the device. But the one you mentioned work with a larger number of apps as it downloads locally the tracking db.
